- (Utility) Patent Prosecution
Providing services, such as filing of patent applications and prosecution.
Our policy is to conduct Examiner interviews for all cases unless clients instruct otherwise. We have the capability to conduct phonetic/online meetings directly with clients by our bilingual attorneys for the best performance.
- (Design) Patent Prosecution
Design Patents are a part of utility patent in the U.S. However, design patents have unique aspects different from utility patents. Not many patent prosecuting attorneys have expertise in design patents but we have extensive experience prosecuting design patents.
- Trademark Prosecution
Providing services, such as filing of trademark applications, prosecution, clearance, counseling to obtain Federal trademarks in the USPTO and also foreign trademarks. We can offer counseling of worldwide trademark strategy to seek a best route and basis for our clients. Our policy is to conduct Examiner interviews for trademark cases as well for the best performance.

Providing translation services Japanese-English, English-Japanese) related to a patent/trademark, including Priority Documents, and Certificate of Registration from foreign Patent Offices.

Tomoko NAKAJIMA
Tomoko practices Trademark, Patent and Design patent law, including domestic and foreign prosecution, opinion, counseling and litigation. She has represented numerous clients in Japanese and foreign prosecution and litigation, and has experience in a wide variety of technologies including consumer electronics, semiconductor devices, fabrication and packaging, and automotive technologies.
Prior to Future IP LLC, Tomoko practiced with law firms in Washington, D.C. Alexandria, and Tokyo. She also participated in a Juridical Observation Program with the Eastern District of North Carolina Federal Court. Tomoko is a U.S. attorney-at-law and former Japanese patent attorney (Benrishi, 1997-2016).

Previously, he was an engineer for a Fortune 100 company. He has also been a Patent Examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
